Magistrate Judge, Salt Lake City, UT May 2012–Apr. 2020

Managed and decided pretrial matters in civil and criminal cases. Presided over civil cases with parties’ consent and over Behavioral Health Reentry Court. Conducted settlement conferences/mediations. Co-chaired court’s Risk/Needs Assessment Tool Committee to study, evaluate, and explain statistical tools used within the criminal justice system.
